Fertile abundance is within arms’ reach as you meander through rows of tilled earth, sprouting with organic fruits and vegetables. Experience lunchtime dishes that are as surreal as the defined clarity, glowing colours, and unblemished aromas of some of the finest spirits you will taste later in your journey. As you experience the flavours of a cold beer crafted by a local brewery, the atmosphere of Swiss mountain chalets, old English pubs, and fresh forest air will fill your mind, and the natural richness of Honey Mead will simultaneously perk your senses and warm your soul.

Itinerary

West Coast Farm Tour

Your day will start with Executive Chef Shirley Lang’s warm homemade Cree Raven Spirit bannock along with your favorite coffee or tea. LA Limo picks you up for a luxurious picturesque drive along the west coast of Vancouver Island with views of the Pacific Ocean, the Olympic Mountains and the lush rain forest. We will visit various farms which grow organic produce and fruit all year round for our local restaurants. You are welcome to purchase along the way to take back to your hotel for the Fairmont Empress Gold’s Executive Chef to create an exquisite ‘farm to table’ experience. (Fee charged to your room) After your feast, you’ll imbibe in treasured Island award winning spirits, wines and beers as you visit Sheringham Distillery, Tugwell Creek Honey Farm & Meadery and Sooke Brewing Company. Before leaving the Sooke area we will visit Salt West, a salt harvestry, started by a young, entrepreneurial husband and wife team who harvest sea salt from the rugged pristine waters on the West Coast of Vancouver Island and produced by hand to ensure the highest quality. Having truly experienced Vancouver Island, you’ll return to the Fairmont Empress in time for dinner

Experience includes: Host, guided farm walk, lunch, tastings, transportation. Minimum of 6 guests, maximum of 8 guests.
